Skepticism Skepticism is a belief that you should doubt what is considered dogma[1] and common sense.{1} Skepticism comes from Phyrrhonism, which is a belief made by Pyrrho of Elis. Both beliefs suggests suspension of judgement when it comes to ethic decisions such as remaining in a neutral position to the claim. When the belief of Pyrrhonism wasn't as popular, Aenesidemus revived his teachings. One of the ways he did this was the ten modes of Aenesidemus. Some people who believe in this attitude to knowledge view it as a way of life, for it supposedly brings peace and happiness when you suspend judgement.{2}
